Online slots gambling is great in the winter time. With the coldest season of the Northern hemisphere behind us, it is time to take a look at some of the games which entertained online gamblers through the long winter nights giving them free spins, generous bonuses and of course plentiful winnings.
Now then, when it comes to something as subjective as reviewing a slot game, we can pretty much only offer you a personal take on the matter. We liked these slots though, and we can whole-heartedly recommend them, which does not mean however that everyone will find them as appealing and as interesting as we did.
Avalon II was launched this February, and given that it’s a game with quite a history to look back on, not to mention its outstanding graphics, we felt compelled to give it a go. The first Avalon slot came out in 2007, so it was indeed high-time for a sequel to hit the online casinos.
As said above, the graphics of the game – which is built on ancient British mythology – are quite outstanding, with some of the symbols and cut-scenes being of cinematic quality. The downside is that this is one extremely slow game, quite possibly one of the slowest-spinning online slots out there.
Heading to the movies is one of the favorite winter pastimes of many city-dwellers and the “At the Movies” slots replicate that experience well, in a gambling context of course. This 3D game features outstanding visuals, and some truly entertaining characters. The sounds are great too. While features-wise it isn’t much better than the industry-standard, from an entertainment perspective it hits the nail right on the head.
A Lightning Box Games creation, Arabian Rose is a 40-line machine, and it is indeed a true winner. Unlike other slots featuring a similar number of lines, this one offers some pretty sizable wins, so it is indeed extremely exciting despite the fact that it does a rather poor job of conveying its theme, due to the discrepancy between the actual theme and the sounds. The Belly Dancer symbol is the main selling point of the game, because it doubles the winnings offered by lines it is part of, and winnings do indeed come about quite often as said above.
Paradise Dreams is a game that’s exceptionally well-suited for taking one’s mind off the bitter and cold realities of winter. The game features a tropical paradise theme, and while the graphics may not be particularly enthralling, they are spectacular and warm enough to get you hooked in minutes.
Last, but certainly not least, we have Treasure Island, a pirate/treasure-hunting themed game which also brings sunlight onto the screen of the player. The game comes complete with a set of characters which include Molly the parrot, Captain Neri and Ali the alligator. There’s just one cast member missing: a Captain Hook-like villain. Treasure Island comes complete with a bonus game and a free spins round which is triggered by three or more scattered Treasure Map symbols.
